Jurisdictional Sustainability Consultations: A Global Snapshot
To support the global transition toward transparent and consistent sustainability-related disclosures, a growing number of countries and regions are launching formal consultations following the release of the ISSB's inaugural Standards in June 2023.
While the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) is not directly managing these consultations, a compiled list is now available for the convenience of stakeholders. This list highlights ongoing and recently completed national and regional consultations on sustainability disclosure regulations, helping professionals, companies, and policymakers stay informed about the evolving landscape.
It’s important to note:
- The ISSB provides this list as a supportive resource only.
- Any inquiries about individual consultations should be directed to the relevant local or regional authority.
- The list is not exhaustive, and updates are made on a best-effort basis.
As sustainability reporting gains momentum worldwide, this initiative supports greater visibility into regulatory developments and ensures better alignment across markets and sectors.
